Republic Bank & Trust Company announced the award of 25 grants to
non-profit organizations offering Volunteer Income Tax Assistance and
Earned Income Tax Credit (VITA/EITC) programs for the 2010-11 tax
season. VITA/EITC programs assist low income citizens with tax
preparation and filing.
These grants totaling $50,000 were awarded to:

These grants will be used to support the general operations, needs or
growth for programs providing tax payer services with a special emphasis
on technological improvements to facilitate e-filing with the IRS.
